Our third 1,200-ton hydraulic moulding press entered serial production this month, lifting annual panel output by roughly 30% and — more importantly for customers — shortening the lead time on large sectional tank orders.
What changed on the floor
The new line adds 12,000 m² of moulding hall, an automated charge-handling system and a closed-loop temperature controller that holds platen temperature within ±2 °C. That last detail matters more than it sounds: consistent platen temperature is what keeps panel thickness and gel-coat cure uniform across a 1 m × 1 m face, and uniform panels are what make joints seal first time on site.
What it means for your project
- Lead time down. Standard SMC tanks now quote at 25–30 days instead of 40–45 days for orders above 200 m³.
- More capacity per container. Better dimensional consistency means tighter stacking, so a 40 ft container now carries roughly 300 m³ of tank instead of 260 m³.
- Faster spares. A wider range of panel sizes stays in stock, so replacement panels ship in days rather than weeks.
Quality control additions
Every batch now passes three checks before it is palletised: a barcol hardness test on the gel-coat, a thickness scan at nine points per panel, and a 1,000 V insulation resistance test. Batch records are linked to the tank serial number, so if a customer ever needs to trace a panel back, we can produce the full process record.
